KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Result Area
Major Activities/Deliverables
Monthly Reporting:
Prepare, develop and analyse monthly income statement with applicable accounting policies as per the group with Budget/reforecast variances along with necessary explanations on key items.
Preparing, review and analyse monthly balance sheet schedules with major items of reconciliation like fixed assets, major accruals, receivable & other supporting details.
Perform and review monthly reconciliations of inter-company balances and other balance sheet items
Regular monitoring and in-depth review of all financial numbers and balances
Providing monthly schedule for consolidating into the monthly group reporting pack.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Preparation of yearly budget & quarterly forecasting with the details, analytics and supporting info as required (Vessel Wise, etc) for Senegal BU
Co-ordinating with BU Head and other Functional Heads for gathering necessary information for finalization of budget/forecast.
Audit & Assurance:
Handling external financial/tax assurance for Senegal and finalization of audited financial statement and submission of annual returns to relevant authorities.
Providing all the relevant explanations & information for smooth closure of audit related queries.
Liaise with Internal/external auditors and satisfactory resolution of audit issues, if any.
Compliance:
Filing Annual Tax return, VAT and WHT Return on time
Handling Tax Assessments independently
Ad hock & Others:
Preparing & facilitating adhoc cost model for commercial team.
Management and leadership of an engaged team member, promoting collaboration and ensuring their development and evaluation against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound values.
Working on other ad hock projects or assignment received from time to time from line manager, including, review of AFEs, bank payment review and approvals, etc
SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications and experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Professional qualification in Accounting or Finance (CA, ACCA, CPA)
Minimum Experience:
Atleast 10 years of experience of which minimum 3 years in a similar role with a medium to large size business organisation
Sound knowledge of international (IFRS) accounting standards and practices
Exposure to year end processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, JD Edwards, Hyperion software applications or other Tier 1 finance systems, including advanced level excel skills

The Finance Manager will be responsible for the accounting function, management reporting, financial accounting, statutory reporting, finance and treasury administration, taxation, accounts payable and receivable.
