Job Description ET Key Accountabilities
1. Financial Reporting (Monthly Reporting)
Prepare, review, and analyze the monthly Income Statement in accordance with Group accounting policies (IFRS), including budget and forecast variance analysis with detailed explanations of key movements.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly Balance Sheet schedules, ensuring proper reconciliation of:
Fixed assets
Major accruals
Accounts receivable
Other significant balance sheet accounts
Perform and review monthly reconciliations of intercompany balances and other balance sheet accounts.
Monitor and perform detailed reviews of all financial results and balances for the POML Qatar business.
Prepare and submit the monthly reporting schedules required by the MENA Regional Finance team for Group consolidation.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
Prepare the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for the POML Qatar business, including detailed analysis and supporting schedules (e.g., vessel-wise reporting).
Coordinate with the Business Unit Head and Functional Managers to collect the information required for budget and forecast preparation.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making throughout the planning process.
3. Audit & Assurance
Lead the external financial and tax audits for Senegal.
Coordinate the preparation and finalization of audited financial statements.
Ensure timely submission of annual statutory returns to the relevant authorities.
Prepare audit schedules and provide all required explanations and supporting documentation.
Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.
4. Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Coordinate the collection of information required for the preparation of ICV reports in accordance with Qatar client requirements.
Ensure timely filing of Annual Corporate Tax Returns and Withholding Tax (WHT) Returns.
Independently manage tax assessments and correspondence with tax authorities.
Ensure compliance with all applicable financial reporting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
5. Commercial & Business Support
Prepare ad hoc financial models and cost analyses to support the Commercial team.
Review and validate AFEs (Authorization for Expenditure).
Review and approve bank payment requests in accordance with internal controls.
Provide financial support for special projects and other assignments as requested by the Line Manager.
6. People Management
Lead, coach, and develop team members.

Selection Criteria
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
Professional Accounting or Finance qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of professional finance and accounting experience.
At least 3 years in a similar role within a medium to large organization.
Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Experience managing year-end closing and statutory reporting.
Advanced proficiency in:
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft Office Suite
JD Edwards
Hyperion
Other Tier-1 ERP/Finance systems.

The Finance Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager of Senegal in the leadership and management of the Finance function. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the accounting function, management reporting, financial accounting, statutory reporting, finance and treasury administration, taxation, accounts payable and receivable.
